A while ago, we here at Videojug sent out a short blog survey to over 32,000 active bloggers. This survey encompassed 30 questions, ranging in subject, from questions about the bloggers themselves, to enquiries about the content, inspiration and reception of the blogs they keep. And let us just say now – the response was fantastic! Many of the bloggers that we contacted found time to answer our questions, and from that we all gained a great insight into the world of blogging as it stands today. There were a number of reasons why people chose to start their blogs – from personal needs, to wanting to help others and create a community, and others even for monetary gain. We also discovered that blogging is a highly personal thing, as people chose their content not due to recommendations or press releases but judged what they wanted to post predominantly on personal choice. Some people were able to make a significant amount of money off of their blog (though the majority made none at all), and many bloggers were now starting to use video content much more predominantly in their blogs, especially informative how-to content. Overall, we’d like to thank everyone who took part in our blog survey. Blogging is certainly becoming a more powerful tool everyday and we’re here to help you get the most out of it. We’re also now passing on our findings to everyone else, which can be viewed by clicking here. Oct

Here it comes again – the strangest of nights. You know… the one where bizarre shaped lanterns suddenly appear on doorsteps and in windows, and where you begin to irrationally fear black cats. It’s the time when it becomes quite common to encounter all sorts of ghouls and goblins on the street corners of nice neighbourhoods… Halloween is unlike any other holiday there is – full of danger, fear and horror. So why do we love it so much? Well VideoJug have the answer, and we’re here to help you get into that gruesomely great Halloween spirit! Firstly, it’s the only time of year you can get away with legitimately “playing with your food”. Making jack-o-lanterns and carving pumpkins is some of the best fun we have all year! We just love to make ghastly grimacing faces to peer out of our windows – or for the more artistic, witches and ghosts to light up our porches. We have a load of different pumpkin designs to teach you, so get into the holiday spirit by making an amazing one this year that the whole street will be jealous of. And talking of food – the treats we get to eat on Halloween make it worth waiting 364 days for! Just think of all those toffee apples and sweet treats you can enjoy! And perhaps you’ll spice up your gathering this year by serving eyeball cocktails and spicy batwings to your ghoulish guests… But it’s not just the adults who love Halloween (we know you do!). The ones who really go crazy for it are the kids! After all, name another time of year where they can dress up as their scariest heroes or worst nightmares, bob for apples, go around collecting sweets from neighbours, and run riot in the streets without getting into trouble? And while they’re indoors, why not keep them entertained with a wonderful haunted house game – perfect for Halloween! But, remember, Halloween is not all fun and games. It’s on this night that the divide between the living and the dead dissolves, and all sorts of creatures come out to play. Ever been hounded by a werewolf? Or had a run in with a zombie? If you’re lucky enough to have avoided this so far, watch these films to make sure you know what to do when you do come across one. And finally, what absolutely everyone loves about Halloween is that it’s a time for anyone to become what they want… Young or old, male or female, it’s a night where masks, costumes, disguises and masquerades are not only accepted, but expected. Sexy and seductive witches, gruesome goblins, mortifying mummys – be what you want for one night only, and let the mystical magic of Halloween take over with Videojug’s help… |
